Craft Retreat 2, 2019 Post #1

So CR2 is a few weeks ago now - I had intended writing up what fun we had before now, but the time has just passed me by!

Anyway here is Post #1 - and the final workshop of the weekend - mine!

<"arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The challenge was to make a peek-a-boo card - this one is one of my samples.

Ike was very kind to let us use Quirky Parrot from Ike's Art as the image - I coloured mine with Copics.

My peek-a-boo card is based on tutorial from Splitcoaststampers but I changed it a little by printing the image and the sentiment first on the cards  used for the card parts.

The papers used to mat each section were made using distress ink in an embossing folder - an ivy design! As this is the cheap and cheerful retreat, we used recycled commercial greeting cards to make these.

Rather than using a die to cut the three windows, these were cut with a craft knife. A Tonic fuchsia window die was used to make the three frames round the three windows, also coloured with Copics.

I was delighted by all the cards made by the participants in my workshop...

Here is Netty's:

Great Fun!

Watch out for some more posts illustrating the other workshops!
